Producer Harman Baweja and director Arati Kadav are teaming up for a new film, marking their second collaboration following last year\u2019s critically acclaimed drama \u201cMrs.\u201d<\/p>\n
The duo unveiled their reunion timed to coincide with the one-year anniversary of \u201cMrs.,\u201d the Sanya Malhotra-starrer that became a cultural touchpoint for its exploration of domestic identity and gender dynamics.<\/p>\n
\u201cMrs.,\u201d produced by Baweja\u2019s Baweja Studios with backing from Jio Studios\u2019 Jyoti Deshpande, earned widespread acclaim, including at Black Nights Tallinn and IFFI Goa, and collected multiple awards across major platforms. The film reimagined Jeo Baby\u2019s Malayalam-language cult hit \u201cThe Great Indian Kitchen\u201d through a North Indian cultural framework, incorporating traditions like Karwa Chauth while chronicling the gradual erosion of a woman\u2019s sense of self. Baweja also served as co-writer on the project alongside Kadav.<\/p>\n

The announcement comes as Baweja Studios maintains momentum with recent release \u201cHaq\u201d and an active development slate for 2026 that includes \u201cDil Ka Darwaza Kholo Na Darling,\u201d \u201cCaptain India\u201d and \u201cBoy From Andaman,\u201d along with several projects in development.<\/p>\n
