With more than 15 years since his acting debut, Sam Claflin admittedly still has insecurities about seeing himself onscreen.<\/p>\n
The Golden Globe nominee confessed he\u2019s \u201cincredibly insecure\u201d as an actor, recounting the panic he experienced when he first had to go shirtless onscreen early in his career.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of the roles I played earlier on in my career\u2026 I had a topless scene in one of my first movies, but it wasn\u2019t in the script and I got told a week before they were going to [take] my top off,\u201d he said on the Happy Place podcast. \u201cI was like, \u2018sh*t, I haven\u2019t been working out, what am I going to do?\u2019 This is my first introduction to the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
Claflin added, \u201cI\u2019m incredibly insecure. I just went to a screening of a film I was in and everyone immediately afterwards [asked], \u2018How was it?\u2019 And \u2018I hated it.\u2019 It\u2019s my face, I don\u2019t like [it].\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, the actor told The Telegraph that he quickly \u201cdeveloped a form of body dysmorphia\u201d about the industry following his big screen debut as Philip Swift in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011).<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is this Hollywood assumption that it\u2019s the men with the six packs who sell the movie. So there was a pressure that that was what I needed to look like,\u201d said Claflin.<\/p>\n
